Dear Chhetri Family,

Picture
Pukar Chhetri, 22, a transfer student from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri, to San Jacinto College South in Houston, Texas, from Bafal, Kathmandu, Nepal, lost his precious life on August 11, 2010.  Late Pukar Chhetri is survived by his parents, elder sister and a younger brother.  He was very jolly person, nice to everyone who always liked to joke with friends and family.  He was a very hard working person with sound academic background.  Help and support from Nepalese Association of Houston (NAH) and many other well wishers and donors was really great help to send his body back to Nepal.  His body was flown to Nepal on Thursday, August  26, 2010, and was cremated on the bank of the holy Bagmati River in Arya Ghat by Shree Pashupati Nath Temple, Kathmandu on August 28, 2010.  Funds were raised to send his body back to Nepal and the remaining funds will be disbursed to his family in Nepal.

We extend our deepest sympathy to his family and relatives at their greatest loss. May God give them strength to overcome their sorrow at this painful moment.  We pray to God that late Pukar Chhetri’s soul rest in peace.

Sincerely,
Kiran Kasti, Pawan Bati and friends from Houston, Texas

Dear  Chhetri Family,

We are so sorry about Pukar's death. He was a amazing friend who touched so many lives with his joy and generosity. We miss him deeply already, and we can only imagine the heartbreak you feel.

It is hard to say that one of our dearest friend remains only on memories now on. We stay together as a single family, shared beautiful memories. He involved many of us in that kindness, and we were all better people because of it. Pukar lived his life as a model of grace and goodness. We are very lucky to have known him.

Please accept our deepest sympathy.

Sincerely,
